The University of Dubai (UD) in collaboration with Regime Nutrition and Fitness Advisors, a global education organization, is holding a series of entertaining yet informative summer activities for international school students at its campus in Dubai Academic City.
These two institutions are partnering in this year’s Summer Camp to attract international potential students and create a global, educational pathway to Dubai.
More than 40 global students between 5-18 years old are participating in this year’s camp which is organized to teach students new skills and enrich their spiritual, mental and physical knowledge.
As part of the camp, students get introduced to a wide range of topics and subjects including Music, Math, Science, English, and critical thinking. Students also enjoy a spiritual experience through meditating activities and programs that activate and refresh their brains.
Besides, UD grants 10-11-12 high school graders the golden opportunity to explore new fields and experience Job Shadowing by participating in its four-week workshops “My Summer @ UD,” from 16th of July until 10th of August, 2017.
The four workshops will take students on a short, yet fruitful journey to discover the hidden mysteries and tricks of Photography, Drones for Good, Future Business Leaders, and Mobile App Developing.
UD President Dr. Eesa Bastaki emphasized the role of educational institutions and universities in boosting creativity and helping new generations discover their future careers and passion. “Education is never limited to books and papers, it could also be earned through fun and entertaining activities especially in Summer when students expect to take a break from schools,” he said. “Therefore, the challenge is to keep these students motivated to learn, read, and think outside the box.”
President of Regime Advisors Basel Shouly said: “We aim at providing students with a global education and citizenship aspect in Dubai.” He added that UD has the Dubai brand and the idea of global citizenship which is why they chose to host their Sumer program at the University of Dubai. “We are looking forward to expanding the educational character of Dubai which is a metropolitan city and UD is receptive to this idea and process.”
