An external Academic Advisory Council (AAC) has been established for the purpose of providing guidance and direction to prepare the College of Business Administration (CBA) for initial accreditation of its degree programs by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) which is one of higher education's most prestigious and rigorous accrediting body in the world. It is superior to any other accreditation that you heard of.

The AAC will meet twice a year (Fall and Spring) in UAE and will spend a period of 2 to 3 days. It is composed of the following Business Deans from AACSB accredited schools:

1. Dean Moustafa H. Abdelsamad from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi
2. (Former) Dean Otis Baskin from Pepperdine University
3. (Former) Dean Luis Calingo at California State University, Long Beach
4. (Former) Dean Amr Mortagy at American University in Cairo

The above requires a lot of faculty involvement and participation in this process.
