Career Counseling

  • Explore educational and career alternatives
  • Relate educational experiences with career planning and academics to work opportunities
  • Develop career decision making skills
  • Assess skills, interest and values in relation to career need. Providing self-assessment of interests, activities, exploration of career and occupational information through the use of computer software (SIGI 3).
  • Arrange mock interviews for students

Workshops

A variety of career development and job search workshops are conducted throughout the year. Workshops also focusing on interviewing techniques and resume writing skills etc. are conducted. These workshops are facilitated by Career Counselors, Alumni and professionals from the business and industry. Check the ICDC calendar for upcoming workshops.

Provides a variety of Career related information through directories (online and print).

Job Placement

Career Fairs: is designed to provide you with the ability to meet one-on-one with company representatives with regard to career / internship opportunities, in addition to exploring corporations’ missions, values and cultures. Check the ICDC calendar for upcoming Career Fair.

Job Posting: The ICDC has developed contacts to receive and process part / full time job opportunities from government and private organizations in the U.A.E and the other GCC countries which are updated on a regular basis. Check the On-line job posting . A daily printout of the job listings is also available in the ICDC.

Information on both On- and Off-Campus jobs is posted on Bulletin Boards across the Colleges to advertise latest opportunities available to students with a variety of employers.

Employment File: Open an employment file at the ICDC by providing the following document:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of the student’s passport

The employment file is forwarded by the ICDC to the employers upon their request.

Graduate Resume Book

The ICDC publishes each year the Résumé Book of graduated students. This is forwarded to potential employers. Graduating students are invited to send their Curriculum Vitae to: icdc@ud.ac.ae
