Orientation Day – Bidayaat
BIDAYAAT aims to ensure a smooth and successful start-up at UD and help new students familiarize themselves with university life. It also gives students a chance to meet classmates, faculty and staff. Activities include a campus tour, presentations and other informative programs.
Honor Students - Student Services hosts an event to recognize the high academic performance of students whose CGPA is 3.2 and higher. Students’ parents are also invited to share their son or daughter’s academic achievement.
To be eligible for the Dean’s list, a student must have completed a minimum of 30 credit hours, excluding coursework taken for pass-fail credit. Students qualify for the Dean’s list with the following GPAs:
- Dean’s Honors: GPA 3.2 through 3.49
- Dean’s High Honors: GPA 3.5 through 3.79
- Dean’s Highest Honors: GPA 3.8 through 4.0
Student Life Awards Ceremony (SLAC)- At the end of the academic year, the University holds a presentation ceremony to honor students whose contributions to the University community showed outstanding commitment and effort. Companies which sponsor Student Services events are also invited and given awards in recognition of their contributions to student functions.
Graduation Ceremony -The UD graduation ceremony is usually held during the month of May. All prospective graduates are required to submit the "Graduation Requirements Form" to the Registration Department (RD) in order to graduate and attend the graduation ceremony. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.25 and must have completed a minimum of 129 credit hours in order to graduate.
Alumni Student Mentoring Program (ASMP)
This program has as its goals building beneficial relationships between UD alumni and students, promoting professional development and real-world experience for UD undergraduates and offering alumni an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the University. Students are encouraged to take advantage of the services of this program as they commit to continuous learning.
