UD Alumni Association Honors Beit Al Khair Society

UD Alumni Association Honors Beit Al Khair SocietyBeitDubai, November 26, 2014: The Alumni Association of the University of Dubai (UDAA) honored Beit Al Khair Society for its contribution toward the Charity Gala Suhoor event took place during the previous month of Ramadan. The event was organized by UDAA under the slogan ëCharity Empowering Educationí to support financially challenged students.îThe event which raised 450,000 AED brought together representatives of various associations as well as public and private institutions in addition to a large number of philanthropists from the UAE community and the Universityís alumni, students and officials.Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, President of University of Dubai, welcomed the delegation of Beit Al Khair and expressed his gratitude towards their continued efforts in expanding charitable work in Dubai and across UAE. He stated that donating to needy students is a worthy donation in the field of education and knowledge.î Mr. Saeed Mubarak Al Mazrooei, Deputy General Manager of Beit Al Khair Society, speaking on behalf of Mr. Abdeen Taher Al Awadi, General Manager, said, ìHaving worked with University of Dubai to help needy students and having the chance to meet and work with all these UD successful alumni who are occupying leadership positions in various organizations in the country, assured us that the name ìDubaiî is in good hands.î Al Mazrooei praised the Memorandum of Understanding between Beith Al khair and University of Dubai and thanked UD alumni for their commitment to support financially challenged students through our ìTyseer project.î Speaking on behalf of the President of the Alumni Association of the University of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, Ahmed Khalifa Al Falasi thanked Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki and Al Marzooei confirming that UD Alumni Association will continue its efforts to raise more funds for educational causes.
