FAQs:

IELTS has two formats – Academic and General Training. You will need to know which format of the test to take when you complete the IELTS Application Form. If you are in doubt, contact the organisation or institution to which you are applying to find out what it requires.

IELTS classes are run on demand.

You can check your IELTS results online (to access your results you need to enter your Candidate ID issued on the test date, your date of birth and registered ID).

Candidates can get their examination results via SMS on the same date the results are published. This service is FREE of charge and interested candidates may contact the IELTS department for information and relevant forms.

Registered candidates can also request their own certificate to be sent directly to their home address. You should contact ielts@uowdubai.ac.ae in the first instance if you wish to use this service.

Within six weeks after the test date you can request for your test module(s) to be re-marked. You need to complete the IELTS Enquiry on Results Form and submit the original TRF. A fee of AED 577.50 (Inclusive of VAT) is charged. The outcome will be available six to eight weeks after the receipt of the Enquiry on Results request. The fees will be refunded in full if your result changes to a higher band score.

Feedback on Results is a new service launched by the IELTS partners for IELTS test takers.

Available globally to all test takers, this feature allows test takers to receive feedback on their score and advice on improving their test performance. The feedback or your score explained is provided on the performance for each of the skills, together with advice on how to improve their performance in order to attain the next level. This advice is to be used as guidance only.

To view the feedback, test takers log on to results online on the 13th day to view their provisional results, test takers will be able to see a full table with the scores explained and advice on their test performance. The scores explanation will be available to test takers for 28 days after the release of result and can be downloaded as a pdf during this period.

Test Result Form (TRF) :

The Test Result Form (TRF) is published 13 days after the test date. You can collect your TRF at the IELTS Registration Counter, Language Studies Centre, UOWD. You need to bring your ID to collect your TRF. If you wish to authorise someone to collect your TRF you need to send an IELTS Authorisation Form, a copy of your passport and the person collecting must present an original photo ID and a copy of the same for our records. The Test Result Forms are valid for two years from the Test Date. Please email ielts@uowdubai.ac.ae for further information regarding this request.
