Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum (2009-Present) President, University of Dubai’s Alumni Association (UDAA) Mohammad is a graduate of Bachelor program, majored in Finance & Banking 2008. Mohammed holds the position of Business Manager at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) since 2005. Additionally, Mohammed is a leading business man in Dubai, with a number of interests in the transportation and hospitality sectors. Mohammed accepted the post of President of the University of Dubai Alumni Association in May 2009. He hopes to lead the Association to even greater success in the upcoming years.
Nasser Al Abdool Vice President, UDAA Nasser started his professional experience as a junior staff at the National Bank of Dubai while continuing his higher diploma at Dubai University College (currently the University of Dubai). It provided him with the opportunity to apply the latest information technology to the banking system and automate several manual transactions. Later on, he joined Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as Personal Banking Supervisor.
Nasser graduated from the University of Dubai with a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Banking in 2007. Upon his graduation, he was promoted to the position of Branch Manager. Aligned with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid’s statement “Innovation is our only way to build a great history of the UAE… the future will be for those who adopt innovation”, Nasser decided to continue his Master Degree in Innovation and Change Management with Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University. He believes that the professional organization requires employees who have professional qualifications to bring the best of skills and abilities for the growth and profitability of the organization.
In 2012, after almost five years of branches experience, he was selected as Regional Manager at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, managing nine branches in Deira Area. Nasser joined the UDAA Board of Directors in 2009. He brings his extensive management experience to the Board, as well as his commitment to success and achievement.
Ahmed Khalifa Al Falasi Member, UDAA Ahmed is a graduate of the Bachelor's program, majoring in Management in 2006. After graduation, he worked at Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, and later he joined Dubai Media Incorporated, as a Director, Strategy & Corporate Excellence. Ahmed isa Certified European Excellence Assessor from the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) and Dubai Excellence Award Program (DGEP) winner.
Fatma Hamad AlSuwaidi Member, UDAA Fatma is a graduate of the Master's program, majoring in Operations and Logistic Management in 2013. She got her Bachelor's Degree in General Business from Dubai Women’s College in 2011. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Emotional Intelligence and Behavioral Responses at the University of Dubai. While at the University, Fatma was involved with many activities to support the reading year and CSR activities as well as the coaching program “Alumni-Student Mentoring Program”. Fatma is working with DEWA as Senior Manager of Knowledge Management. She is responsible for developing and implementing the KM strategies across the organization, Identify and capture, store and share DEWA knowledge assets plus other responsibilities. Fatma is happy to lend her time, skills, and experience to the association.
Mohammed Shael Al Saadi Co-Founder, UDAA Mohammed is a graduate of the Bachelor's program, majoring in Management, he also holds Masters in Quality Management from the University of Wollongong, Masters of Science in Professional Studies, City Science & Smart Cities from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), and currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Management at the University of Dubai. He holds the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Business Developments & Strategy Sector, Dubai Economy. Since joining Dubai Economy in 2008, AlSaadi has made significant contributions to streamlining business activities in Dubai and supporting investor relations with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, transparency, and modern technology. AlSaadi is a member of the Dubai Smart City Initiative (DSCI) executive committee. He is a strategic thinker and prolific speaker and he is frequently invited to address regional and international audiences on business competitiveness and the ongoing efforts to achieve Dubai’s Smart City vision.
Ahmad Ali Al Jaziri Member, UDAA Ahmad is a graduate of the Bachelor's program, majoring in Finance and Banking in 2013, and Masters of Leadership & Human Resource Management in 2015. He has a certificate in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Oxford. As a former student, Ahmed served as the President of the Emarati Club in 2011. Currently, he is working as an auditor in State Audit Institution.
Ali Ahmed Hassan Angizeh Member, UDAA Ahmad is a graduate of the Bachelor's program, majoring in Management in 2010. He obtained an Executive MBA from the American University of Sharjah in 2014. He completed Senior Executive Leadership Program with Harvard Business School in June 2019. Currently, he is the Vice President Landside and Facilities at Dubai Airports & Dubai World Central, with more than 15 years of work experience, at Airside Operations, Dubai Airports. Back from Sept 2012 to Oct 2014, he was VP of Cargo & Logistic Dubai International Airport & Al Maktoum International Airport leading the operational management of all cargo facilities at Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central. In Oct 2014 to June 2016, he was Positioned, VP – Airside Operations Dubai. He was fully responsible for the development and implementation of a safe and efficient operational strategy, providing a compelling purpose and vision for Airside Operations. Ali is certified in ACI-GSN2 Airside Safety Awareness and GSN5 Advanced Safety Management System. He was recognized for making valuable contributions to the company over the years, moreover, he was elected in the Dubai Government Excellence Program DEGP and a member of The ACI world forum.
Ala Osama Mikdadi Member, UDAA Ali is a graduate of the Master's program, double major, Operations and Logistic Management and Finance & Accounting from the University of Dubai in 2013, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the UAE University. Ala is presently the Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member at SBK Holding & The Private Office of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He was the General Manager and Board Member at Global Transformers and Switchgears and the general manager of Emirates Industrial Gases Company in Dubai. He has more than 20 years of diversified experience in strategic management, planning and marketing, business partnering and business development and staff performance mentoring. Ala assumed the role of board member of the University of Dubai Alumni Association in 2014 and he is a part-time instructor at the University of Dubai. Ala is a Certified NLP Business Practitioner as well as a Certified EFQM Assessor. He is the first Certified CEO in UAE by The CEO Institute – Australia. Ala was appointed as Future CEO Program - In Charge.
Suhail Al Kaabi Member, UDAA He obtained his Masters in Human Resource Management from the American University of London and Bachelor’s of Business Administration Management from the University of Dubai in 2007, plus he has a diploma from Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Sciences. Currently, he is the Branch Manager at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. He is a board member of Sharjah Tatweer Forum of 2011 and Arabic Language Protection Association and he is also a member of the alumni association at the Emirates Institute for Banking and Finance. Suhail is interested in small and medium size businesses. He is a board member at The Consultative Council of Sharjah.
Obaid Al Falasi Member, UDAA With more than 16 years of work experience in Project Management & Consultancy, Obaid Rashid Al Falasi had marked his career journey with several successful projects. He worked as Project Director - Consultancy AlSoudah Season with Minister of Culture – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in UAE he was the Project Manager for “Qasr Al Hosn Festival” that was organized by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. In addition, he managed several cultural projects during his work experience with Dubai Culture and Art’s Authority. He is also one of the co-founders of the “In Dubai We Trust” campaign, a non-profit community project. He volunteered in a global program in Cambodia with Dubai Cares Education Program to improve underprivileged children’s access to quality primary education. Obaid holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Dubai, and a Diploma in IT Programming from Etisalat Academy, as well as an educational degree from Cambridge Institute of London. Obaid is a Board Member of the University of Dubai Alumni Association and a Board Member of the University of Dubai Happiness & Positivity Council.
Mohamed Saad Member, UDAA Mohammad holds a Master's degree in Operations & Logistics from the University of Dubai and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Cairo University. He is the CEO of YoMaYa Medical Trading and the General Manager of YoMaYa Hospitality & Restaurants. His hobbies are swimming and playing tennis.
Malek Al Khatib Member, UDAA Malek is currently working as Senior Risk Manager and Deputy Risk Director (Import and Export program) in Euler Hermes Credit Insurance Company – Middle East, since 2010. He previously worked as Large Corporate Risk Assessment Officer, in Commercial Bank of Dubai - Head office, for the years 2004-2007. Before that, he worked as Corporate Relationship Manager, in Arab Bank plc, UAE for the years 2007-2010, of which he managed and assessed credit facilities of large corporates and projects finance of many iconic names like: ARABTEC, Water Front of Dubai Festival City Shopping Mall, ENOC Power Stations, DEWA Electromechanical Works, and Majid Al Futtaim (Emirates Mall) . Malik holds an MBA degree in Finance & Accounting from University of Dubai. Also, he is a Certified Credit Risk Professional – CCRP, from International Academy of Business and Finance Management (IABFM).
