University of Dubai’s Alumni Association Pledge More Support to their Alma Mater

DSC_7365 Under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, the University of Dubai Alumni Association (UDAA) conducted on February 8th, 2017 a comprehensive ìBoard of Directorsî meeting with UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki to discuss its latest developments that have resulted in profound achievements.   During the meeting which was attended by UD deans, staff, faculty and UDAA board members, Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki lauded the associationís board and alumni members for their dedication to education and said: ìWe at University of Dubai are very fortunate to have such a successful network of committed alumni members who have been exerting great efforts in dealing with issues related to students and alumni.î   The Vice President of UDAA Ahmed Al Falasi thanked Dr. Al Bastaki for his support and promised to provide more involvement in advancing students and alumni programs at UD. ìOur alumni are our ambassadors who, through their success, represent the face of UD outside,î he concluded.   UD Alumni Affairs Director Ms. Amina El Marzak discussed the associationís critical success factors starting from its history, membership privileges, goals and objectives, structure, major events and ending with its challenges, bylaws and publications. She presented promising facts about the associationís contributions to UD highlighting the most successful programs of the UDAA such as the Alumni Guest Speaker Series, the Alumni-Student Mentoring Program, The Alumni Continuous Learning Program and Alumni and Friends Scholarship Program. Through the later, the alumni association was able to grant more than one Million Dirhams of financial Aid to merit students who are facing financial challenges. ìWe are so proud of our students who are professionally promoting UDAA and UD, on and off campus,î Ms. El Marzak concluded.   The meeting was concluded with an open discussion at which extra support from current students and faculty members was requested to help UDAA grow on a global scale and transfer its decent reputation.
