As part of its societal and humanitarian responsibilities, the University of Dubai (UD) Alumni Relations Office in cooperation with UD Alumni Association and Beit Al Khair Society, launched a virtual donation campaign for the university students who are struggling financially and are unable to pay their tuition fees. The campaign will continue throughout the Holy Ramadan until the end of next May. The charity campaign targets students, graduates, and employees of the University as well as partners from government and private institutions and philanthropists.
The importance of this campaign lies in its ability to help students overcome the potential pitfalls and various negative repercussions of the Corona pandemic on individuals, in specific, and society, in general. Hence, call is made to all graduates, financially able students, institutions and philanthropists to contribute to the success of this campaign and help the deserving university students obtain their financial needs.
The campaign is licensed by the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, Statement No. "3752".
Alumni Relations Office, in cooperation with UD’s Alumni Association, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum Jumah Al Maktoum, used to organize every year during Ramadan a charity suhoor gathering to collect donations equivalent to five million dirhams that helped many students complete their studies..
