Dr. Hussam Al Hamadi has joined us as an Assistant Professor in the CEIT. Dr. Hussam Al Hamadi received his Bachelor's in Computer Engineering from Ajman University, followed by his MSc and PhD in Computer Engineering from Khalifa University. His academic journey is complemented by several international certificates in networking, business, and tutoring, including MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CBP, and CTP. With over 18 years of research and teaching experience, Dr. Al Hamadi’s journey started in 2005 as a technical instructor at Abu Dhabi Chamber and Commerce, then as a teaching associate at Khalifa University in 2010, and in 2017 as a research scientist in Khalifa University Center for Cyber-Physical Systems (C2PS). Beyond his title, Dr. Al Hamadi has taught and developed several courses within the Master in Cyber Security Program at KU and he supervised and examined more than 12 master’s students in the realm of cybersecurity. Dr. Al Hamadi actively established a strong relationship between the industrial sector and KU-C2PS that attracted funds and created opportunity-driven projects. He and his team had secured five funded projects in the past three years and established more than 10 initiatives to attract funds. His research focuses on Cybersecurity with AI, Machine Learning, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Formal Verification. He published 27 conference papers and 14 Journals, and his current h-index is 10 on Scopus. 

Dr. Al Hamadi held several other positions during his career journey. He served as a visiting professor at UAE University (Spring 2023), a risk champion at the Robotics and Intelligent Systems Institute of Khalifa University (2021-2022), and the IEEE-UAE Section Secretary (2019-2022). He is currently the IEEE UAE Section Vice-Chair, International Collaborator at SESAR LAB (University of Milan, Italy), an External Investigator at Zayed University, and an Advisory board member of SCAI Technosistemi FZ LLC.
