3rd PRME MENA Regional Conference - 2013

University of Dubai (UD), the first Middle Eastern signatory of Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), will be hosting the 3rd MENA Region Conference at their Dubai Chamber campus from 10th till 11th of November 2013. Eminent speakers from PRME, Western universities, regional universities, and corporations will be addressing this forum. The forum is open for academics, corporate delegates, students, and government employees/delegates interested in sustainability activities. The pre-conference workshop on 9th November will provide training for faculty members on implementing the principles in classrooms through curriculum changes, research, dialogue, and teaching. There will be no registration fee for this conference. Hotel rooms are available at discounted rates within walking distance from the conference venue. This is an excellent opportunity for getting involved and learning more about the social responsibility in a global framework, and to explore the magnificent city of Dubai.

PRME is an initiative by UN, along with the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) to modify business education in light of changing ideas about corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship, research, and sustainability. Through its signatories, PRME incorporate into academic activities and curricula the values of global social responsibility as portrayed in international initiatives such as the United Nations Global Compact.
