Overview
Dr. Hatem Khalil is an academic leader and researcher specializing in entrepreneurship education, digital entrepreneurial behavior, and curriculum innovation. He currently serves as Director of the General Undergraduate Curriculum Requirements (GUCR) at the University of Dubai, where he leads curriculum development, academic quality assurance, accreditation alignment, and cross-college coordination across interdisciplinary programs.
He holds a PhD in Business Administration (Management) from an AACSB-accredited business school, along with an MA and BA in English Language and Literature, and brings extensive experience in undergraduate teaching, curriculum leadership, and academic administration. His teaching spans entrepreneurship, innovation, career development, communication skills, and critical thinking, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning and applied assessment.
Dr. Khalil’s research focuses on digital entrepreneurial behavior, examining how entrepreneurship education, self-efficacy, institutional environments, and digital competencies shape entrepreneurial intentions and intention–behavior conversion, particularly among youth in the United Arab Emirates. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes on entrepreneurship education, institutional contexts, and technology-enabled academic systems, and is actively engaged in research on artificial intelligence adoption in higher education and digital entrepreneurship education.
Recognized for consistent teaching excellence and strong student evaluations, Dr. Khalil integrates research-informed, student-centered, and digitally enabled pedagogical practices to enhance learning outcomes and real-world readiness.
