UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources FAHR informed CIUD on March 8, 2015 that it will circulate among its members the general Chinese language course offered by Confucius Institute (CI) at University of Dubai. The circulation is part of The Government Knowledge Gate (MAAREF) project, a strategic initiative by FAHR, to develop best training service providers in the United Arab Emirates in accordance with international standards. The training will be available to federal government entities at competitive rates, or free of charge. The importance of ìMAAREFî initiative launched in 2013 stems from the fact that it adopts the directions of the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates which constitute the UAE Vision 2021 and the UAE national agenda for the next seven years. The circulation of the Chinese language course is part of CIUD plan to teach Chinese language to federal employees and develop better understanding of Chinese culture. CIUD and FAHR are in the process of planning additional steps towards federal training services through ìMAAREFî Initiative.
