Students and faculty members of University of Dubai attended a workshop, on 05/11/15, organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) themed – ìGlobal Environmental Challenges – From Green Attitude to Green Actionî, held at Marriot, Al Jaddaf. The Studentsí Workshop provided an opportunity to learn the values and methodologies necessary to achieve a sustainable future for the coming generations. Brain storming sessions, debates, discussions and hands-on exercises were conducted on topics like pollution treatment, waste management, water recycling, earth nourishment, population etc, which enabled students from various universities to interact and learn from each other. Creating digital apps to spread awareness of sustainability and designing frameworks to organize future EEG events were also discussed. Faculty members also got a platform to network with each other and exchange ideas on new techniques to incorporate in teaching and learning.
