Overview
Nour Aburaed joined the faculty of College of Engineering and IT on September 9, 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from six years at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre lab based at the University of Dubai. During this time, Nour worked as a research assistant for five years and as a research associate for one year, contributing to advancements in image analysis in the context of remote sensing.

Nour holds a PhD in research from the Electronic and Electrical Engineering department at the University of Strathclyde, with a thesis titled "Single Image Super Resolution for Spatial Enhancement of Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Imagery." Nour also earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Khalifa University (2014-2016), focusing on High ISO Image De-noising and Quantum Image Processing.

As an active researcher, Nour regularly publishes in reputable conferences and journals and serves as a reviewer for many, including IEEE (JSTARS, TGRS, Access, ICASSP, and ICSPIS) and MDPI (Remote Sensing and Applied Sciences). Nour is also an active IEEE member and currently serves as the secretary of the IEEE ComSoc UAE Chapter. In addition to academic and research roles, Nour serves as a guest editor for a special edition titled "Recent Advances in Deep Learning-Based High-Resolution Image Processing and Analysis."
