Students at University of Dubai attended the UAE Drones for Good Award competition on the 7^th of February of 2015. †The competition which took place in Internet City, Dubai, was attended by the president of University of Dubai Dr. Essa Al Bastaki who presided over†the Judging committee. Created by the UAE Government, the Award summoned innovative minds from around the world to provide new drone technologies and services. New York University Abu Dhabi students have taken top honors with their Wadi Drone submission which empowers wildlife conservation and environmental protection. Dr Al Bastaki said that ìIt was an honor for me to preside over a judging panel of local and international experts. This competition highlighted the importance of supporting creative minds in advancing technologies and applications.î Al Bastaki added that ìthis competition presented to the public advanced drone applications that will soon play a vital role in advancing humanity.î
