Overview
Dr. Genanew B.Worku is an Associate professor of Economics and the Director of Undergraduate Programs at the Dubai Business School, University of Dubai. Prior to joining UD, he had served as University Planning and Programming Officer in addition to teaching at various universities outside the UAE. His research interests include welfare economics, micro-econometric analysis (such as Housing, Urban land, and Transportation), and econometric modeling. He published a book and his research works are published in various journals including Land Policy, Managerial Finance, International Journal of Housing Markets and Analysis, Review of Behavioral Finance, Environment and Development Economics, International Journal of Economics and Finance, International Journal of Educational Management, and International Journal of Business and Management. Dr. Genanew holds a Doctorate and Master of Science degrees in Economics from, respectively, the Economics Department at Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria; and from the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Addis Ababa University.
