Overview
Dr. Shadi Atalla (M'09) is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Computing & Information Systems program at the University of Dubai. With over 15 years of experience in teaching and research, he is a recognized data science expert and certified big data trainer, highly esteemed in the industry. Dr. Atalla's research focuses on data science algorithms, curriculum development, and artificial intelligence. He has published extensively and is Chair of the Computer Society of IEEE UAE. Furthermore, Dr. Atalla brings a wealth of accreditation experience, having attended three ABET accreditation workshops and contributing to the accreditation process for both 2011 and 2019 CAA standards. His dedication ensures top-quality education and research standards, enhancing the academic excellence of the programs he oversees.
