One more time, the University of Dubai (UD) demonstrates its approach to multicultural and multinational policies through embracing the unique, Chinese Confucius Institute which promotes the Chinese culture within UD in specific and UAE in general. Hence, as part of its annual activities and events, the Confucius Institute at the University of Dubai (CIUD) celebrated the ìConfucius Institute Dayî on September 29, 2016 at UDís Conference Area to underline the theme of sharing and exchanging cultural values between China and UAE. The event witnessed the presence of Consul-General of Chinese Consulate General in Dubai H.E. Mm. LI Lingbing, UD President and Foreign Director of CIUD Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, UD staff and faculty members along with a group of students from ìLycÈe FranÁais International de DubaÔ Schoolî who have acquainted the skill and capability of learning and fluently speaking the Chinese language. This yearís distinctive celebration was organized to reinforce the solid mutual relationships between UD and China, highlight the significance of knowing and understanding the Chinese language and culture, and award the fluent Chinese speakers and leaners. To celebrate their day, the CIUD members expressed their culture through live singing, poetry and dancing performances and challenged the attendees by organizing some thought-provoking, informative cultural games.
