The Confucius Institute at the University of Dubai (CIUD) hosted the “Confucius Institute Headquarters Touring Show” which was organized by The Art Troupe of Shandong Normal University and sponsored by Confucius Institute Headquarters. For the first time since its establishment in 2010, CIUD hosts this International Chinese Touring Show at which 24 undergraduate and postgraduate students from Shandong Normal University showcased their culture. The show combines the forms of Latin dance with the essence of Chinese opera and displays a vivid picture of the lives of Chinese opera performers. Mr. Wang Zhenshan, Vice Chinese Consul-General; Mr. Xu Xiaoping, Vice Chairman of Chinese Union Society in UAE & Vice Chairman of Chinese Business Council in UAE; Mr. Saeed Abdulla Alhefeiti, the Media Office of Fujairah†Government attended the event along with UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki, Provost Dr. Geoffrey Gachino and all other UD staff, faculty members and students. The Art Troupe of Shandong Normal University of China is a comprehensive art team that integrates music, dance and instrumental music. The Art Troupe is based on the profound cultural background of Shandong Normal University, combining the strengths of its comprehensive arts and physical education disciplines. The troupe has performed many times in China and other international countries to represent their Chinese kungfu, national vocal music, exquisite dance skills, and various other forms of art.
