Dubai, December 12, 2014: University of Dubai joined last Friday the Diabetes Walkathon organized by the Landmark Group at Zabeel Park ñ Dubai. Alongside†thousands of other participants, UD students marched 3 km with a cheering parade to raise awareness and educate the public on diabetes prevention. Recently released statistics from the International Diabetes Federationís seventh diabetes atlas ranks the UAE as fifth in the region for diabetes prevalence.
