The Administrator – Developer

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and supporting the university student information system, learning management system and web applications bring new innovative ideas to the university IT department.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Administration of CAMS SIS and Moodle LMS, ensuring system reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
  • Manage and optimize the University’s online payment gateway for efficient and secure financial transactions
  • Customization and Upgrades system for both the CAMS SIS and Moodle LMS, ensuring smooth operation and improvements.
  • Coordinate the integration of the CAMS SIS with other university systems, such as HR and finance, to ensure seamless data flow and consistency across platforms.
  • Determining all custom coding requirements for the site creation using Microsoft .NET, .NET Core MVC, PHP & Microsoft and MySQL Server database.
  • Develop and maintain WordPress website Content Management and Plugin Management and Customization.
  •  Building web-based reporting tools using best reporting tools through a web portal or application.
  • Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by Students, Faculties and staffs.
  • Develop and maintain reports with new technologies and trends; resolve technical problems.
  • Provide system administration and operational support to the relevant servers and applications.
  • Safeguarding the Website/Web-apps from viruses and security threats by best practice coding.
  • Performing onsite & remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process.
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in logs.
  • Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team.
  • keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference via IT Service portal.
  • Implement any other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Department Head.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

  • Three years’ experience in is Experience in a Website/Web-Apps development.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Continually seek opportunities to develop self and if applicable subordinates
  • Excellent organizational abilities and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate and improve the quality of IT processes, services and products.
  • Previous experience in education sector with CAMS SIS and LMS systems with IT Database management technical skills.
