Through the External and International Relations, faculty members from the Dubai Business School participated in international teaching activities with UD’s partner institutions.
Dr. Alina Maydybura taught Corporate Finance through distance learning from January 18th – 22nd to Master Grand Ecole students of Burgundy School of Business(BSB) in France as part of its Excellence in Teaching Pedagogy. The one – week block program is a combination of lectures, assignments and assessment totaling twenty – one (21) hours.
Sustainability advocates, Drs. Eappen, Yaprak and Arij served as panelists for the UD – Brunel University of London joint webinar on “Sustainability Strategies – Experts Views from Dubai” held on February 18th Speaking to almost 100 attendees, the panelists showcased UD’s contribution towards a sustainable society through their active role in the PRME, the inclusion of sustainability in UD’s curriculum, participation in various sustainability activities and events, and UD’s green and smart campus. Other panelists included, Dr. Kamel Mellahi from the Centre for Responsible Business of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Emma Barber of DGrade, UAE, and Dr. Monomita Nandy and Prof. Kevin Mcmeeking of Brunel University. Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki graced the affair by sharing valuable insights on sustainability while Dr. Geoffrey Gachino delivered an inspiring vote of thanks.
Dr. Rahim Hussian and Prof. Andreas Karathanasopoulus presented on their topic of expertise for the Guest Lectureship Series of ISBR Business School, India. On February 17th , Dr. Rahim presented on “Customer behavioral engagement through integrated marketing communications” followed by a presentation of Prof. Andreas on February 19th on “Management Analysis on Crypto – Investing” The interactive and engaging sessions were attended by 130 PGDM students.
