A delegation from the Spanish University of Seville visited the University of Dubai (UD) where they met with its President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki. 

During the visit, they discussed ways to activate the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) previously signed between the two sides in the fields of scientific research as well as the exchange of faculty members and students. The MoU contributes to strengthening the academic performance in addition to exchanging the best practices and experiences to enhance the capabilities at both institutions. 

The meeting was attended by the University of Dubai Provost Dr. Hussain Al-Ahmad, COO and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Nasser Al-Murrqqab, Director of International Strategy at the University of Seville Angel Luis Trigo Garcia, Director of International Center Rosario Asiann Chaves, and Vice-Rector for Institutional Relations and Internationalization Carmen Vargas Macias.

After welcoming the visiting delegation, Dr. Al Bastaki highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two parties, activating areas of contribution to academic and scientific joint research, as well as exchanging faculty members and students for a semester or an entire academic year.

He also gave a general explanation about the University’s faculties and research centers and heard from the delegation of the University of Seville about their experiences too.
