The Confucius Institute at University of Dubai (CIUD) welcomed on September 8^th a delegation from Shizauishan City, Ningxia who came to visit the CIUD, discuss some future plans for building a solid bridge between UAE and Shizauishan City, and reinforce mutual relationships between UD and its partner Ningxia University. The delegation consisted of 24 members of the Business and the Enterprise community at Shizauishan City including Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Secretary General, District Mayor of Huinong, and Country Head of Pingluo. CIUD planned a full-day program for the delegation to introduce them to the goals, objectives, visions, and mission of UD in general and CIUD in specific. As part of the program, UD President Dr. Eesa Al Bastaki welcomed the deputation and greeted the CIUD for exerting efforts in strengthening the bonds between UD and Ningxia University. Dr. Al Bastaki also underlined some recent developments of Dubai and UAE and mentioned the importance of enhancing the ICUD which is led by expert teachers. During his speech, Mayor Wang from the delegation, congratulated UD, Dubai, and UAE for their continuous support. He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to UD community for initiating a step toward promoting the Chinese culture through its Confucius Institute.
